More Gay Blog

After getting more familiar with what people’s views of the issue of Gay marriage; I’ve realized that once again people are using this issue as a way to promote their own agenda of hatred.

People absolutely hate religion and are using this issue as a way to prove to everyone else that religion is evil.

Religion isn’t evil- that guy who tries to use religion as an excuse to hate homosexuals and lesbians is!

If I beat you over the head with a large fish and told you I did it because my dog told me- would you blame my dog?  Of course not!  Why not?  Because you know that the very premise is absolutely ludicrous!

From my understanding of religion- Religion believes in God, and this God in whatever form they take God to be; loves the act of love.  God created us so that the most powerful feeling we feel is love- it is our driving force- what our existence is about.  The simcha or blessing of two people feeling closely bonded and love towards one another cannot possibly be umbrage to God.  How can something so natural for two people who simply want to live be an affront?  It’s simply God’s way.

Now- as far as the argument about it not being natural- it feels pretty natural to those experiencing it.  I’m sure that the act of love that the breeders partake in seems pretty weird and foreign to those who have chosen an alternate path- or had it chosen for them.

 Finally- the argument that children need both male and female role models in their life for a healthy upbringing:  There are more likely than not plenty of same and opposite sex friends, relatives around to show them that a woman doesn’t necessarily have to lay Linoleum tile and a guy doesn’t necessarily have to paint toenails and collect shoes and show tunes.

In fact- I have yet to come across one compelling argument against gay marriage except for one:
You never see any Gay Klingons on Star Trek, man!  If Klingons aren’t gay- why should we be???
